SALO and NumberWorks Expand Business Development
Teams to Optimize Growth Opportunities SALO Search and NumberWorks Add Positions to Meet Demand for Top Finance Talent
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 8, 2007—Moving in stride with the vibrant finance/accounting staffing industry in Minneapolis, SALO, LLC today announced that it has hired two additional business development managers--one for its executive search arm, SALO Search, and the other for its newest family member, NumberWorks, LLC, which places staff-level professionals.
Both positions were created in response to the dynamic growth in demand for qualified finance professionals at the executive and staff levels. SALO, which is again closing in on another banner year, has orchestrated a well-choreographed expansion strategy to build and sustain its broad community of finance professionals—both as clients and as consultants for SALO and its affiliates. These new positions support this corporate growth strategy.
Libby Kopp brings a decade of professional staffing expertise to her new role at SALO Search. Kopp perfected her recruiting and placement skills at one of the world’s largest staffing firms, so she is certain to hit the ground running at SALO Search. According to SALO Search Director, Ken Heisler, “For us, knowing the right finance people is an important differentiator and a key factor in our success. We could not have found a better business development partner than Libby. She knows the best people in the business and shares our commitment to provide value to the Twin Cities’ finance community,” Heisler explained. Kopp said that SALO’s unique culture and commitment to the needs of the finance community made this an offer that she could not refuse. “I wanted an opportunity that was less traditional and more entrepreneurial,” Kopp said. “When Ken and I talked about the company’s approach and I experienced its culture first-hand, I knew that SALO Search was the right place for me.”
For NumberWorks—which launched six short months ago to provide top talent for staff-level interim positions—Craig Hirschey could not be a better fit. As a founder and owner of several successful start-up companies, Hirschey’s high-energy, results-driven approach will mesh well with NumberWorks’ business goals and opportunities, and with the SALO family culture. Gwen Martin, NumberWorks Managing Director, said that “Craig’s track record in business development speaks for itself. We are delighted that he has agreed to join NumberWorks and we’re confident that Craig will help take our business to the next level.” Hirschey, who admits to being relentlessly driven to succeed at whatever he does, said that NumberWorks was appealing because it offered both the entrepreneurial opportunities he thrives on, as well as a community of other self-starters like himself. “NumberWorks is a very motivating environment to work in,” Hirschey said. ”And because we’re all like-minded people, we feed off of each other’s energy.”
Kopp and Hirschey both have deep relationships within Twin Cities' business circles. That, along with a proven ability to build business from scratch, made them highly desirable candidates for SALO affiliates.
SALO, which is on target to hit $42 million in revenue for 2007, was founded in 2002 to address the shortage of qualified finance professionals in the Twin Cities. Every year since, the company has met or exceeded its own growth projections. SALO, which has won numerous awards for business success, was named earlier this month to the Inc. 500—one of the most coveted national awards for fast-growth companies.
